Accessibility Statement

Effective date: [08/19/26] Last updated: [08/19/26]

State Street TMS is committed to making our care — and the information about it — available to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want anyone visiting statestreettms.com to be able to find what they need, understand it, and get in touch with us.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG is the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It sets out how to make web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with a wide range of disabilities — including visual, hearing, motor, speech, and cognitive disabilities.

We also work to meet our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act.

What we have done

Accessibility has been built into this website rather than added afterwards. Measures include:

  • Semantic structure — proper heading hierarchy and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page logically
  • Keyboard access — all interactive elements, menus, and forms can be operated without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator
  • Text alternatives — descriptive alt text for meaningful images; decorative images marked so they are skipped by assistive technology
  • Colour contrast — text and interface elements tested against WCAG AA contrast ratios
  • Resizable text — content remains readable and usable when zoomed to 200%
  • Responsive layout — the site adapts to screen size, orientation, and device without loss of content or function
  • Clear forms — visible labels, clear instructions, and error messages that identify the problem in text rather than by colour alone
  • Descriptive links — link text that makes sense out of context, rather than "click here"
  • Plain language — clinical concepts explained in accessible terms, with medical terminology defined when it is used

We test using a combination of automated tools, manual keyboard testing, and screen reader review.

Known limitations

We are honest about where gaps may exist. We are aware of the following:

  • Third-party content. Some parts of our site rely on services we do not control, including our patient intake system, embedded video, mapping, and financing partners. We have limited ability to change their accessibility, but we raise issues with these providers and will offer an alternative way to complete any task affected.
  • Video captions and transcripts. We are working to ensure all video content on the site carries accurate captions and a text transcript. If you find a video without them, please tell us and we will provide a transcript.
  • Documents. Some downloadable documents may not yet be fully accessible. We will provide an accessible version on request.

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a finished project. Content, browsers, and assistive technologies all change, and we review the site regularly.
